Hybrid Schedules in AASD High Schools with Appleton eSchool
Hybrid schedules are becoming more and more common in AASD, Wisconsin and around the country. Hybrid schedules are not new to eSchool and AASD. Students have been taking advantage of this style of schedule for many years. eSchool offers the ability to create a hybrid schedule right here in Appleton in cooperation with our comprehensive high schools, East, North and West.
How does a hybrid schedule work?
There are several ways to experience a hybrid schedule with eSchool. Students are either primary eSchool or primary East, North or West High School.
- Primary (full-time) school is East, North or West:
- Students may take up to 2 eSchool classes while attending their primary (full-time) high school. We always recommend taking one eSchool class before taking more than one. Students will need to work with their high school counselor to configure their in person course schedule to make this work. Students are required to follow their primary school's policies for attending class and having a proper schedule.
- Primary (full-time) school is eSchool:
- Students must first apply and be accepted to eSchool as a full-time student. After which students may take up to 2 classes in person at their resident/attending high school. This is a good way to still be connected to the in person elements of your school community within your in person high school right here in AASD.
